Before becoming the BBC's voice, Peter Alliss was a professional golfer himself - winning 31 tournaments including three British PGA Championships, playing in eight Ryder Cups, and competing against legends like Arnold Palmer. His transition to broadcasting in 1961, while still competing, brought a player's insight to every call. After succeeding Henry Longhurst in 1978, he shaped golf commentary for generations, hosting 140 episodes of Pro Celebrity Golf and working for ESPN, ABC Sports and broadcasters worldwide. Inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2012 for Lifetime Achievement, he designed over 70 golf courses including The Belfry.

For golf fans who remember his wit, warmth and storytelling from BBC broadcasts. Authentic commentary notes from the "Voice of Golf," framed and ready to hang.
