There is nothing more satisfying for Scottish rugby fans than to beat the Auld enemy, particularly at Twickenham. The game in 2023 was a stand-out as not only did Scotland retain the Calcutta Cup, but they also scored one of the great Six Nations tries as Duhan van der Merwe left half the England team trailing in this wake. Wales had to overcome a spate of injuries and a 10-point deficit, which they achieved courtesy of a Gareth Davies try and 7 Dan Biggar penalties.

From the moment the two top ranked teams in the world were drawn together in the World Cup group stages, this was a game that had every rugby fan licking their lips. It was a game that live up to all the hype as the Irish emerged triumphant from what was a titanic tussle, with Miles Harrison providing the soundtrack. For many this was one of the greatest games ever played.
Ireland Grand Slam 2023
Nick Mullins provided the commentary as Ireland held off a spirit England to win their fourth Grand Slam and it was the first time this had every happened in front of a home crowd in Dublin. It would prove the perfect send-off for their talismanic fly-half, Johnny Sexton, who retired after the game.
The pressure was enormous on New Zealand who, despite being so dominant in the world of rugby, had not won the World Cup since it inception in 1987. Facing their “bogey” team France, it was as tight and tense as the 8-7 scoreline sounded, but the All Blacks inched over the line for famous win with the voice of rugby in New Zealand - Grant Nisbett - providing the memorable commentary.
New Zealand beat their closest rivals, Australia, to win the World Cup for a record third time. They also became the first team to retain the Webb Ellis cup but it was a closer game than the scoreline suggested. Once again Grant Nisbett was behind the mic.
