Starting her career at BBC Radio Northampton while still at school, Alison Mitchell built her reputation across BBC networks including Test Match Special, Radio 5 Live and the World Service. She's covered four Women's World Cups, men's World Cups across three continents, and became the first woman to call men's cricket ball-by-ball on ABC Radio Grandstand in Australia. Voted SJA Sports Broadcaster of the Year in 2014, she's also the first female commentator to call an English Test series on British television.
