Starting at BBC Radio where he covered England's 1966 World Cup triumph, Brian Moore joined London Weekend Television in 1968 and remained one of the leading sports presenters for thirty years. His commentary of Peter Withe's winning goal in Aston Villa's 1982 European Cup Final is immortalised on a banner at Villa Park, testament to his place in football history.
He called European trophy wins for Arsenal, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United, covering six European Championships and World Cup finals from Mexico 1970 to France 1998.
