Early Life and Education
Born on 20th July 1973 in Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland, Andrew Cotter attended the University of Glasgow, where he earned a degree in French and Philosophy.
Broadcasting Career
Cotter began his broadcasting journey in 1997 at Scot FM, a commercial radio station in Edinburgh. Key milestones in his career include:
- Joining BBC Radio 5 Live and Sky News in 2000.
- Starting television work in 2001, presenting sports bulletins on BBC News 24.
- Commentating on golf for BBC Television from 2003 onwards.
