Grand Prix, Jerez of Europe Oct 1997 - Jonathan Legard
Original commentary notes by Jonathan Legard
A print of Jonathan Legard’s original commentary notes from the 1997 Grand Prix of Europe, held in Jerez, Spain.
The race was won by Mika Hakkinen with Britain's David Coulthard in second. Jacques Villeneuve secured the championship, finishing in third.
Michael Schumacher lead the championship going into the race but in a rash attempt to defend his race lead he steered into Villeneuve's Williams. The Canadian's car suffered some damage but Schumacher had demolished his Ferrari's suspension, sending him out of the race and handing the championship to Villeneuve whose Williams team also win the Constructor's Championship.
This high-quality print comes complete with artwork detailing the starting grid, final classification (including finish times and points), date and location of the grand prix.
Available as an A2 framed print, A3 print only (please note this is small typeface) or A2 print only.
All products include a letter of authentication verifying that these are prints of the original commentary notes.
What arrives.
Where the notes come from
Straight from the commentary box.
You're buying a print, not the original paper — and the value is in whose paper it was. We'd rather say that here than let you find out later.
- Supplied by the commentator who wrote it. We work with them directly, not the resale market.
- Reproduced, never recreated. Nothing retyped or tidied. The shorthand and corrections stay exactly where they fell.
- Signed editions are numbered. Selected prints are signed by hand and limited.
