Original commentary notes by Sam Matterface
A print of Sam Matterface’s original commentary sheets from the European Conference League final between Crystal Palace and Rayo Vallecano at Leipzig Stadium on May 27, 2026.
Why we love this sheet...
A third trophy for Crystal Palace in less than a year proved to be the ideal sign off for Oliver Glasner and the thousands of jubilant Crystal Palace fans who flocked to Leipzig. Jean Phillippe Mateta's goal proved the difference as the Eagles won their first ever European trophy.

What arrives.
Where the notes come from
Straight from the commentary box.
You're buying a print, not the original paper — and the value is in whose paper it was. We'd rather say that here than let you find out later.
- Supplied by the commentator who wrote it. We work with them directly, not the resale market.
- Reproduced, never recreated. Nothing retyped or tidied. The shorthand and corrections stay exactly where they fell.
- Signed editions are numbered. Selected prints are signed by hand and limited.
