Doddie Weir Cup

The cup was established in 2018 and is contested between Scotland and Wales at the Six Nations. 

The cup is named after the former Scotland international lock Doddie Weir who was diagnosed with motor neuron disease (MND)in 2016.

In November 2017, Doddie and his trustees launched the registered charity, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and we are proud to support the foundation and it's vital work. 

Doddie sadly passed away in 2022 but his legacy lives on.
